What is 1:1 coaching?
1:1 coaching is a partnership focused on leadership development in areas important to the leader and the organization. It's a one-on-one relationship that provides a confidential and supportive space to explore strengths, identify growth areas, and tackle the challenges the leader faces in their role. Through personalized sessions, the leader receives undivided attention and customized guidance aimed at maximizing their potential.

How does the leader and organization benefit?
- Enhanced Leadership Skills: Leaders emerge from 1:1 coaching with sharpened skills, including improved communication, strategic thinking, and emotional intelligence. This personal growth translates into more effective leadership, driving teams towards excellence and achieving organizational goals with greater efficiency.
- Increased Employee Engagement and Retention: A leader skilled in navigating complex interpersonal dynamics fosters a positive, inclusive work environment. This not only boosts team morale but also significantly increases employee engagement and retention, reducing turnover costs and preserving organizational knowledge.
- Cultivation of a Strong Organizational Culture: Leaders set the tone for the organizational culture. Coaching equips them with the tools to model and encourage behaviors that align with the organization’s values and mission. This alignment enhances team cohesion, drives performance, and strengthens the organization's competitive edge.
What is our approach?
Our transformative, 1:1 coaching process generally leverages three key components: Sponsor Engagement, Data Collection, and Stakeholder Centered Coaching. Each component plays a vital role in ensuring the coaching journey is comprehensive, impactful, and tailored to meet specific leadership needs.
- Sponsor Engagement: Success in leadership development starts with alignment. That's why we initiate our coaching with a sponsor alignment meeting, bringing together the leader, their manager, and HR partner. We follow up with sponsor meetings at the midpoint and conclusion of the engagement. These meetings ensure everyone is on the same page, setting clear goals, reviewing progress, and celebrating achievements.
- Data Collection: To build self-awareness and tailor our coaching precisely to the leader's needs, we dive deep into data collection. This includes a psychometric assessment to uncover the leader's work style, personality traits, and potential areas for growth. Additionally, we gather 360-degree feedback from colleagues, direct reports, and supervisors to provide a well-rounded view of the leader's strengths and opportunities for improvement.
- Stakeholder Centered Coaching: Stakeholder Centered Coaching focuses on making changes that are visible and valuable to those the leader works with every day. By actively involving stakeholders in the leader's development process, we ensure the changes are relevant, impactful, and sustained over time.
