Changing leadership behaviors is hard work. Sustaining new leadership habits can be even harder when operating under the "tyranny of the urgent." We believe leaders must practice the virtues of humility, courage and discipline to be all they can be.
Humility
Have the humility to recognize there is always room for growth and self-improvement. Leading teams, programs or organizations require us to evolve as circumstances change. |
Courage
Have the courage to be vulnerable, and accountable to their stakeholders above, across and below them. They must be willing to lean into discomfort, seek and act on stakeholder feedback. |
Discipline
Have the discipline to implement systems to keep desired behavior change top of mind, and to measure progress on a daily and weekly basis. They must sustain focus over months to form enduring habits. |
